Wales Contemporary / Cymru Gyfoes - Open Call

Now in its fourth year, Wales Contemporary / Cymru Gyfoes is an international open competition developed by the Waterfront Gallery with support from the Welsh Government.

Wales Contemporary invites artists from all around the world to enter work in 2D or 3D and any subject matter. Accepted mediums include painting, sculpture, drawing, print, ceramic, glass, textile, collage, mixed media, and more. (Please note that photography, digital prints and film are not accepted)

All of the entries will be considered by a prestigious panel of judges: Ashley Hall, Janette Kerr, Mehdi Moazzen.

Artists are invited to enter their submission via this online entry. Please go to ENTER NOW and complete all the details and pay the entry fee. Once you are logged in you may then upload your artwork.

Artists may enter up to three works.

The artwork can be 2 or 3 dimensional and in any medium apart from photography, digital prints or film. For 2-dimensional work the maximum size limit is 70cm in any dimension. For 3-dimensional work the maximum size is 50cm in any dimension. There is no minimum size limit.

The artwork must be for sale. Sale prices should be inclusive of 30% commission.

The artwork must have been made in the last three years.
