Rua Red Spring Open 2023 - Open Call

Rua Red is pleased to announce an open call for our annual open exhibition of fine and applied arts.

Submissions may be in any discipline: painting, sculpture, new media, digital, printmaking, ceramics, glass, photography, installation, and jewellery.

This open submission is an opportunity for graduates, emerging and established Artists living in Ireland (including the North of Ireland) to exhibit their work in Gallery 1. The overall winner of the Rua Red Art Prize will be awarded a solo show in Gallery 2 at some point during the ensuing 12-month period.

Theme
Spring Open – ‘Displacement and Belonging’- Home

Artists are asked to submit work that explores ‘Home’ in the context of Displacement and Belonging. What is home? Where is home? Is this my home?

Rua Red welcomes submissions from all artists living on the island of Ireland or who identify Ireland as home.

We encourage work that explores ideas of displacement and belonging, domesticity, identity, family, culture, global placement, and home.

Submission Details
Each submission must include the following:

• Completed Submission Form.

• A maximum of 3 individual artworks per submission

• Registration and Handling fee (€10 incl. VAT)
