Wallace #6 Open Call - R Space Gallery

This Open Call represents a unique opportunity for one NI Artist/Maker to undertake the following:

To create work (in any media) on the theme detailed below and inspired by The Wallace Collection

• To undertake a one-week residency at The Wallace Collection in London early 2023 (dates to be confirmed).

• The selected artist will receive an inclusive fee of £2200 to include materials, transportation and the provision of promotional content for the organisation including both live and recorded artist talks, high resolution images of the work and any other relevant expenditure or activity associated with the artistic delivery of the exhibition.

Theme:  TimeFrame

There are a number of clocks and watches in the Wallace Collection, and it is said that Sir Richard Wallace wanted them all to chime at the same time. 

The proposal should convey the artist’s interest in the Wallace Collection, an overview of the potential research ideology and possible choice of materials/basic concept of approach/symbolism.
