Seasonal Workshops at Søstrene Grene, Bangor | Every Thursday in November
Join us, just up the street in Søstrene Grene’s spectacularly festive shop, where a different workshop each week will prepare you for a handmade Christmas.
From beaded jewellery and custom cards/tags for extra-special gifting, to decorative watercolour wreath painting and glass baubles & yarn santa gnomes to deck the halls, there’s something for everyone.

Lights Switch On Day - Free Workshop Tasters and Open Studio | Saturday 18th november 12-4pm
One of our favourite days of the year! Visit Boom and Boom 2 (80 and 49 Main St) to meet artists, get some unique presents and take part in some free art & craft activities. Enjoy a refreshment and make yourself at home learning all about what we do here at Boom Studios.

Street Art Walking Tours with Carla Hodgson Art and The Court House, Bangor | November & December Dates
If you’re looking for a fun outdoor activity this Autumn/Winter with a couple of cosy social stops, why not join Carla for her street art tours?
Meeting at The Court House, Carla will wow you with her knowledge of both local and international artists and mural making around Bangor, coming back to the Court House en-route to explore their own art features and enjoy a beverage if you wish.
We think this tour screams “Christmas night out”! Check out all the available dates running in to December.

In the Workshop - November and December
Our regular arts facilitators continue their art and craft classes in our Creative Days programme. Here are a few that have especially festive activities planned:
Nodo Knots (and Foraged Wreaths!) - Join Claire on Fri 8th & Sun 10th Dec for two beautifully festive, relaxed homeware workshops.
Messy Mornings - the last few messy play sessions of the season will be geared towards Christmas and festive fun
Free Create - Heather’s Home-Ed/After School class on 7th December will have a beautiful winter theme with paper snowflakes and clay robins.
For the adults, Jenni is running a Linocut Printmaking Christmas Card workshop on 25th November, and Magdalena’s December oil painting class on 9th will take on a cosy, winter theme involving painting light reflections. A bit of bling learning how to show light with colour graduations and investigate reflections in Christmas bubbles and decorations. The still life will be fully Christmas themed. No previous experience needed just a bit at Christmas cheer!
No doubt some more of our facilitators will be bringing the festive touches in the final classes before we break for the Christmas holidays.
