Why Does Boom Care about Bangor?

“Im not an artist” are words that we hear a lot at Boom, usually from the companion as they come along with someone who is.

Did you know that everyone is an artist… well everyone has the capability to make a mark..it may not end up in the V&A, but you can make art.

We care about Bangor because we think that our local artists can help to solve local problems… they can help to create a vibrant and interesting place to live.. and place that knows being creative is good for you…

Getting involved with art and creativity is good for your brain and gives you a chance to rest from the daily screen overload we now experience as normal life.

It help you to connect with others.

It gives you permission to play and explore and develop confidence to make some mistakes along the way.

So the more arty & creative activities that we have going on the town, the more opportunities we have for local people to get involved with creativity, then there is more opportunity to help people take that break and give themselves the care they need.
