Suzanna Forsyth: Threadquarters

As a Studiomate…

Suzanna Forsythe is the owner of Threadquarters sewing school and online fabric shop.

Suzanna has been sewing since childhood, inspired by her mother, who made many of her clothes growing up. Although she has no formal training, Suzanna's passion for sewing ignited when her mother gifted her a sewing machine for her 29th birthday. From there, she became self-taught, immersing herself in books, online courses, and hands-on practice.

Feeling isolated in her sewing journey, Suzanna started a blog and a YouTube channel to share her projects, sew-alongs, and tutorials. Encouraged by positive feedback about her teaching style, she began teaching small groups around her dining room table. The success of these classes confirmed her love for teaching and sharing the joy of sewing.

Suzanna's philosophy is to make sewing fun, approachable, and fulfilling, removing the intimidation often associated with traditional methods. Threadquarters embodies Suzanna’s belief that sewing is not just a skill but a relaxing and enjoyable hobby that fosters creativity and self-expression.

As a Workshop Facilitator…
